John Rossini – Artist’s Biography

John Rossini has been a professional architect, illustrator and watercolorist for 30 years.  His paintings are represented in numerous private and corporate collections.

John was educated at the Georgia Institute of Technology where he developed a life long passion for watercolors.  He received a degree in Architecture and formal training in architectural illustration.  He has been a lecturer in the Fine Arts Department at the University of Massachusetts where he taught architectural illustration. In addition, John has been an adjunct professor at Bay Path College in Massachusetts for the past several years teaching drawing and architectural technology.

John’s architectural background and attention to detail have been a strong influence in the subject matter and composition of his artwork.  John affirms, “The subjects of my art are generally ordinary scenes with strong architectural themes that reflect the New England vernacular.  My style is realist in order to present the things around me as they truly exist.  The barns, houses and the countryside of New England provide a major source of material for my paintings.  My wife, a professional crafter and collector, provides the teddy bears, rag dolls, quilts and “stuff” that frequent my artwork.”

Linda Spivey – Artist Biography

Linda has had a passion for art her entire life.  She is known for her sweet vintage images and down-home style of painting.  Linda loves everything old:  movies, music, books, recipes, manners, furniture, crocks and rustic wood signs.  She paints what she loves, primarily in watercolor, pen and ink, and sometimes acrylic.  Her heartwarming designs can be found on a wide variety of items, such as dishes, flags, rugs, kitchen and bath ensembles, as well as Christmas cards, bags and wraps.  She has also written and illustrated a number of books, including a cookbook of her family recipes.  She and her husband Dan have two grown sons and four wonderful grandchildren.

She strives never to forget that God has given her this ability to be creative, and tries to live by two favorite Biblical verses.  “Seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness and all these things shall be added to you.” Matthew 6:33. And “Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord.” Colossians 3:23

Bonnie Mohr – Biography of the artist

Since beginning her journey of canvas, brush and pigment in 1988, rural American artist Bonnie Mohr’s art has grown into a breadth of work that touches every aspect of the look, the language and the sentiments of rural America.  She and husband John raise their five children on a dairy farm near Glencoe, Minnesota, where she balances a busy family, a business and her heart’s desire to create artwork that captures the heritage and lifestyle that she loves.

Bonnie has earned her well-deserved reputation as one of America’s most eminent painters of rural America and the domestic animal.  Mohr’s self-taught artistic skills blend realism with an innate sense of color and design, making each original a classic work of art.

Bonnie has been filmed for national TV Shows, including US Farm Report with Orion Samuelson and her most recent segment on PBS TV’s “America’s Heartland”.

Bonnie Mohr is just a farm girl who packs an enormous love for painting her passions – straight from the heart.  “Through my work, I hope you will feel a sense of inspiration, find special meaning in ordinary day-to-day events, and sense a connection to rural America”.

Michael Marcon – Biography of the artist

Michael Marcon earned his Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in illustration from the Minneapolis College of Art and Design in Minnesota. Always being self-taught in the fine arts led him to experiment with many techniques, mediums and forms of expression. He now lives in his home town of Altoona, Wisconsin where he focuses on his acrylic landscape paintings.

“I believe that developing my artistic expression as a landscape painter has given me a heightened experience of the visual world. My paintings are created from an individual combination of memory, imagination and observation. I find inspiration in the romance of the past filtered through time and then re-experienced in fragments. It is through light, color, texture and a sense of place that I seek these romantic feelingsd. In the process of doing so, I am always searching for a balance between traditional sentiments and contemporary sensations.”
